This pattern uses US crochet terminology. It is an advanced crochet pattern and assumes familiarity with amigurumi, a variety of stitches and shaping techniques.
Recommended Age: 3 Years + due to the length of the stick and the coordination required to "ride" while running, this toy is generally not recommended for children under 36 months without supervision.
The pattern requires the following supplies in order to complete:
7mm crochet hook
4mm crochet hook
super bulky weight yarn (category 6)
1" x 24” wooden dowel - please be aware of how “finished” your dowel is. I personally purchased dowels that are pre-sanded/premium wood
safety eyes (size 20mm)
darning needle
scissors
stitch markers
polyfil stuffing ~140 grams
~5”x 5” square of batting/felt
tulle
rubber band(s)
hot glue gun
